KK asked: I’m a nutrition student and I’m doing a research paper for my Health class. My paper is on the hidden truths of the weight loss industry. I’d like to know if any of you have ever tried any diet supplements, equipment, or fad diets. If you have, I’d really appreciate it if you could answer some questions for me:
What fad diet, supplement, or equipment did you try?
What did the product claim it could do for you?
What made you choose this product?
What were the results?
Would you recommend it to other people? Why or why not?
Did you have any side effects? If so, what were they?
Thanks for your help!
I’m not trying to lose weight. I am a student who majoring in nutrition. I already know how to lose weight safely and effectively. I’d just like to hear your own personal experiences with weight loss.
One more question- what did your daily diet and exercise (if any) routine consist of?

Nikki Baby♥ asked: When I was about 12 years old or so [a few years ago], my doctor suggested weightloss. He reccomended that I tried the South Beach diet [you know, the one where you cut carbs out completely!] Why would he do this rather than educate me on healthy lifestyle changes?

somber_pieces asked: I haven’t heard of ANY fad diets using instant ramen as the primary course.
I’m asking this because it just occured to me that Instant Ramen is very very low in fat.
Also to those who know, Maruchan Brand has so many delightful flavours, its ironic that nobody has tried putting out a diet plan.
Its perfect because you can really eat a lot of it and still lose weight. The perfect moderation diet.
good point on the sodium, that is if you like to finish off the soup base too. Otherwise it isn’t as bad, that will just wash out of your system as long as you keep on keeping hydrated, and you know lots of people do that anyway. Your body only retains what it needs and purges the rest. Salt as it happens is an essential nutrient.

I think that people who are struggling with their weight should consider loosing weight the right way instead of falling for fad diets like for example an all pizza diet. God bless all and happy Holidays.
